Ask Juan
We’re a family-run hostel by locals. Ask us anything about the island — which cay is open, which boat to trust, where the waves are.
The short version
Juan has been running Blue Almond since around 2010, which means he has heard every version of ‘a guy on the beach said…’. The island changes — cays close, prices move, rules appear — and the internet is slow to notice. So before you hand over cash to someone with a laminated flyer, ask us. We’ll tell you what we know, and we’ll tell you when we don’t.

Blue Almond + third parties
Family-run hostel by locals with plenty of inside information about the island, as our listing says. After booking, guests get a welcome email with a link to a WhatsApp group for coordinating events and activities, and we try to match people on the same flights to share a taxi. Boat tours to the cays are run by third parties — ask us about arranging this.
