The island’s favourite minibus
Golf cart rental
Split a golf cart with your dorm-mates and do the island loop with a cooler on board. Ask us about renting one.
The short version
Golf carts — ‘mulas’ or ‘carritos’ locally — are how half the island’s visitors do the loop, and with a group they make a lot of sense. Everyone fits, everyone stops where they want, and nobody has to be the one on the back of a scooter. Just remember it’s a vehicle on a public road, not a fairground ride.

Our listing says golf carts can be rented through the hostel. Availability on request — ask us.
How it works
Step by step
Tell us how many people are going so the cart is the right size.
The driver shows a valid driving licence when collecting the cart.
Check and photograph the cart before you set off, and return it with the agreed fuel level.
Before you go
Pack it, check it, respect it.
Pack list
- The designated driver’s licence.
- Pesos for fuel and stops.
- Book early on days when the cays are closed by weather — demand jumps.
Field guide · requirements
- The driver needs a valid driving licence; valid foreign licences are accepted for tourists during their authorised stay in Colombia.
- Rental companies on the island generally ask for drivers to be of legal age — confirm with us.
- Respect the seat count: police check capacity, and children count as passengers.
About the price
Prices change with the season and demand — ask us for today’s rate.
