What it’s like
The honest pitch
This is the classic backpacker move: book a bed, drop your bag, and find out who’s going to Johnny Cay tomorrow. Six beds across three bunks means it’s small enough to be calm and big enough to meet people.
It is a simple room in a Caribbean house — fan, not air-con; cold water, not a rain shower. What you get in exchange is the price, the people and a host who knows the island inside out.
Included with your bed
- Bed linen, pillow and towel
- Locker with a power outlet inside — bring your own padlock
- Free Wi-Fi
- Coffee all day, popcorn every night
- Shared kitchen, lounge, PS4 and book exchange

Honest matchmaking
Good for
- Solo travellers who want company without a party hostel
- Friends travelling on a budget
- Anyone planning to spend the day on the water, not in the room
Think twice if
- You need air-conditioning to sleep
- You are travelling with anyone under 18 (adults only)
Practical notes
- Priced per bed; the price changes with dates and channel.
- Linen is changed on request for stays over three nights.
- Earplugs are never a bad idea in any dorm.
- Check-in 14:00–23:00, never after midnight; check-out by 12:00. A self check-in email arrives after you book.
What’s shared
Your room is small. The house isn’t.
Whatever you book, you get the run of the common spaces — which is where the island plans get made.
